Why The Banquet Network?

We inspire, equip, and resource churches to reach, serve, and include individuals and families affected by disability: joyfully, simply, and cooperatively.

We are inspired by:

12 Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. 13 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14 and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.

Luke 14:12-14

The Banquet Network operates out of joy, simplicity, and cooperation.

Joyfully. Simply. Cooperatively.

Joy.

Ultimately, including people with disabilities in our churches is a source of joy and not a source of stress. We believe that joy awaits you as you proceed in this journey. We want to draw you into that joy.

Simplicity.

When many of us think of disability ministry we think of million dollar building updates and complex educational certifications. But disability ministry can be far more simple than we often make it. If we have love for God and neighbor then we have all we need to engage.

Cooperation.

It is important to know that you’re not alone in your love for people with disabilities. We are a network of churches and individuals that work together and support each other. We want to be with you every step of the way to make sure you get to where God wants to take you.
