About The Banquet Network

The Banquet Network is the result of God inspiring a convergence of men and women to live out His heart and passion for people with disabilities. We are driven by Luke 14, and many other Scriptures, in which God reveals His love and compassion for the sick and suffering in this world. We know that people with disabilities, like all people, are indispensable members of the Church (1 Cor. 12) and we want to see the Church reflect this truth more faithfully. We believe that every church — even smaller congregations — can do something to invite people with disabilities to “the banquet”. We have many dreams, but most of all, we dream that more people and families affected by special needs and disabilities would be invited to the banquet of salvation.

“But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind, and you will be blessed.”

Our values

Local Church

We believe the local church was designed by God and is the primary instrument God uses to accomplish His Kingdom on earth.

Kingdom

We focus on the big picture of inviting people into the kingdom of God as taught by Jesus in Luke 14 and other scriptures.

Shift

Moving from doing things “to and for” people with disabilities to “with and by” people with disabilities.

Innovation

We are open to doing things differently so that everyone has access to the gospel.

Cooperation

God created the Body of Christ to work together and, as such, we believe partnership increases impact.

Family

We are committed to making sure no one walks this journey alone.

Our Mission

Empowering followers of Christ to welcome and integrate individuals and families impacted by disabilities into the life of the local and global church.

Our Vision

Every person and family impacted by disability would be invited, accepted and integrated into the local church.

Statement of Faith

Scripture

We believe the Bible is inspired by God, inerrant, sufficient and affirm that it is the final authority on all matters of faith and life.

God

We believe that God is the eternal triune God who reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Salvation

We believe that mankind is saved by grace through faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ alone.

Church

We believe that there is one universal church of Jesus Christ that is expressed in multiple communities of people across the earth gathered to worship, love and serve God.

Morality

We believe, affirm and strive to live out the first and second great commandments as found in Matthew 22:37-40 “Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” As well as the teachings of Jesus and all the biblical prescriptions about morality.

Disability

We believe that people affected by disability are created in the image of God, loved by God and need to be reached with the gospel and included in the church so that they can live out their God given vocation in the church and the world. We believe that people with disabilities are an indispensable part of the body of Christ and that the Church is incomplete without people with disabilities.

Member, iNgage Community Church

“The Banquet Network has been such a blessing to our church! They have helped us develop our special needs ministry so we can better meet the needs of our members and community. We love the individualized attention they give to each church. Their heart to meet each church, regardless of their size or resources, is so encouraging!”

Jim

Pastor, Gunpowder Baptist Church

“Our church loves working with TBN because they have guided us through the process of starting a Special Needs Ministry at our church from the beginning to the end and in between. We’ve had two people with disabilities come to faith in Christ within this past year.”
